Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept my insurance, or how do superbills work?

I am in-network with select major insurance plans, which are billed and verified seamlessly through my portal partners, Alma and Headway. Before our first session, they automatically verify your coverage so you know your exact copay or deductible upfront.

If I am out-of-network with your specific provider, you can pay for sessions out-of-pocket and receive a monthly Superbill (an itemized medical receipt). You submit this directly to your insurance company for potential 50%–80% partial reimbursement, depending on your plan's out-of-network benefits.

What is the difference between OCD and OCPD?
  • OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) is driven by intrusive, unwanted thoughts or distressing fears (obsessions) that trigger repetitive behaviors or mental rituals (compulsions) to relieve anxiety. People with OCD usually recognize their thoughts are irrational and feel distressed by them.

  • OCPD (Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder) is centered on a pervasive need for order, perfectionism, control, and strict rule-following. People with OCPD often view their high standards as the "right way" to do things, though it frequently leads to burnout, exhaustion, and strained relationships.

How do ERP and ACT actually work in virtual sessions?
  • In ERP, we design step-by-step exercises where you gradually face real-life triggers (like sending an email without re-reading it five times or sitting with an intrusive thought) while learning to resist compulsions in real time.

  • In ACT, we use active, practical exercises to help you unhook from perfectionistic rules, drop the mental struggle with distressing thoughts, and clarify the core values you want to live by.

Are your sessions LGBTQ+ and identity-affirming?

Yes, absolutely. As a queer-identifying therapist, I have built my practice to be an affirming, inclusive space where LGBTQ+, non-binary, trans, and neurodivergent individuals can feel safe and respected. We focus on supporting your mental health in an environment where you can drop the mask and be fully yourself.

What states do you see clients in?

I offer 100% virtual therapy to clients residing in New York, Massachusetts, and Florida. As long as you are physically located in one of these three states at the time of our telehealth appointment, we can work together.
