Hi, I’m Annalise.

Firstly, I want to say- you don't have to keep carrying this all by yourself.

If you’re reading this, you’re likely exhausted from trying to hold it all together. You might look highly successful on the outside—maybe you're navigating school, building your career, or managing complex relationships—but on the inside, your mind feels like a motor that won't shut off.

You’re tired of the relentless "what-ifs," or the pressure to be perfect, and the fear that if you drop the ball even slightly, everything will fall apart.

I want you to know two things right away: Your brain is not broken, and you do not have to live the rest of your life feeling this exhausted.

Who I Help

I specialize in helping young adults, professionals, and LGBTQ+ individuals break free from the exhausting loops of OCD, overthinking, and rigid perfectionism (OCPD).

Many of the people I work with are highly analytical and deeply compassionate. They know logically that their thoughts or rules might be unreasonable, but the feeling of anxiety is so strong that they feel trapped into over-working, re-checking, or seeking reassurance just to find a moment of peace.

I created this practice to give high-achievers and queer folks a genuinely safe, affirming space where they can drop the mask. You never have to translate your identity, defend your ambitions, or hide the intrusive thoughts that scare you. You can just show up exactly as you are.

What Therapy With Me Actually Looks Like (The Process)

If you’ve been to therapy before and felt frustrated because the therapist just nodded and asked, "How does that make you feel?" without giving you any actual tools—we are going to work very differently.

My style is active, warm, and highly collaborative. We are a team.

  • First, we untangle the noise: We’ll look at exactly how your anxiety operates. What triggers it? What rules has your brain created to keep you "safe"?

  • Next, we practice new responses (ERP): Using Exposure & Response Prevention, we will work side-by-side to gently and gradually challenge your fears. I will never throw you into the deep end. We take it step-by-step, teaching your brain that you can handle uncertainty without relying on exhausting mental rituals or perfectionism.

  • Finally, we rebuild (ACT): Using Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, we will unhook your self-worth from your productivity and help you make decisions based on what you actually care about—not what your anxiety dictates.

You will leave our sessions with concrete strategies you can use in the real world, the exact moment anxiety spikes.

My Credentials & Background

When you are dealing with OCD, general talk therapy is rarely enough. You need specialized care.

I have dedicated my career to mastering the specific, evidence-based tools that actually bring relief to complex anxiety and OCD.

  • Advanced Clinical Training: I completing specialized training through the International OCD Foundation’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), the recognized gold standard for OCD and related spectrum conditions.

  • Licensure: I am a clinically licensed Social Worker authorized to provide virtual therapy to clients residing in New York, Massachusetts, and Florida.

Outside of the Virtual Office

When I’m not in session, I love spending time with animals; whether my own, or with rescued farm animals. You can often find me watching a women’s soccer game, or singing (terribly and incorrectly) to my favorite K-Pop songs.
